FAQ – Events
Q. How can I add or edit an event?
A. Navigate to ‘Add/Edit Event’ in the menu and use the ‘Login’ or ‘Register’ links, you will need to select a username and provide an email address, a link will be sent to your email address to create a password.
Please remember the password and use your username to login using the link.
Once logged in you will see a list of all of the events you have created or the option to ‘Add New’ event.
Q. What events can I list?
A. Any motor scooter event that is based in Australia or Australian scooterists are directly invited too.
By any motor scooter event, this means an event that riders turn up on scooters.
So, no motorbikes, no cars, no scooter themed events, no music gigs, unless any of these involve scooters attending as well. If you are not sure, ping us a message first in the ‘Contact’ box.
Q. How much does it cost to list an event?
A. All events are posted for free, the site is run by scooterists, for scooterists and as such only want to help the Australian scooter community.
Some fees may be applicable if the booking ticketing service is used to cover costs of management of that and banking costs. (The booking service is currently only available on request).

Q. How do I list my club in the directory?
A. If you help run your club and are approved to list it, then click ‘Add Listing’ and add the relevant details, we need the email address to validate the listing but it won’t be shown on the website. You can always go back and edit anything by logging back in, you can use the same login to create an event for your club too. The email entered will be used to remind you to renew in 1 year.
Q. Why do I need to renew the Directory listing?
A. This ensures that clubs are active and details are up to date on a yearly basis.

Q. How do I list my business in the business links section?
A. Head to the links page here and login or fill out the form, the approval process ensures there is a direct relation between the business entered to scootering.

Q. What if I forget my login username or password?
A. Navigate to ‘Add/Edit Event’ in the menu and use the ‘Login’ option then the ‘Lost my Password’ link and use you email to retrieve your information. If you forget everything then contact us and we will endeavour to look it up, we can only send password reminders to email addresses in our database and never have access to the password itself.
Q. Why is there an approval system?
A. To ensure all content is valid, with no spam, and is an actual scootering event or a real club in the directory.
Q. Can I advertise on this site?
A. Sure, send us a message, but we will only accept directly related scootering advertisements. Any money earned is used to maintain the site and ensure the events can be listed for free.

Q. What information is stored on the website?
A. We have a copy of your username and email address, which are stored in a secure database on a secure server; plus of course the event info and/or club details if using the Club Directory, which should all be public knowledge anyway. No emails are ever used or sold for marketing other than items opted in for, on this website.
